Kristen Parke creates wheel-thrown, functional ceramic wares in Nashville, Tennessee. After completing a degree in ceramics, she began teaching visual art full time while maintaining a personal practice of making. She currently creates work at the Make Nashville makerspace. 

Experimenting in a variety of clay bodies and firing processes, Parke has made work in both porcelain and stoneware clays. Her work is subdued and comfortable - using neutral hues to seamlessly blend into your home. Relying on simple and understated details, the vessels serve as a reminder of the handmade process and the maker to enrich the small rituals of your daily routine, to help you slow down and appreciate each interaction and moment of beauty.
